AILET Full Form

NLU Delhi conducts the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET). For the 2026 session, NLU Delhi will conduct the AILET exam on 14 December 2025. If you want to seek admission in NLU Delhi, you must appear in the AILET exam. This exam serves as a gateway to undergraduate courses (BA.LLB), postgraduate courses (LLM), and PhD programs in law. The questions asked in this exam are from English, Legal Reasoning, and General Knowledge for the undergraduate program. The postgraduate exam covered legal reasoning, comprehension, and general knowledge. AILET Full Form

The full form of AILET is the All India Law Entrance Test. It is a national-level entrance exam, which is conducted by NLU Delhi. AILET is the single exam that is conducted by NLU Delhi for seeking admission to NLU Delhi. It is held every year for admission in different law courses. 

AILET Application Process

NLU Delhi starts the application process from 7 August 2025 to 10 November 2025. Students who want to appear in this exam can apply on nationallawuniversitydelhi.in To complete the application process, candidates should fill in all the required information and then pay the application fee. After closing the registration window, there is a correction window open for any mistakes you have made in your registration process. Successful registered candidates can change the information.

AILET Eligibility Criteria

NLU Delhi offers a 5-year integrated program, LLM, and PhD courses through the AILET exam. Candidates who passed the 12th class are eligible for admission in BA.LLB. Candidates who are appearing in the 12th class can also be eligible for the AILET examination. General candidates are required to have 45% marks and 40% for the reserve category candidates in the 12th class.  Candidates who have passed the BA.LLB can seek admission in the LLM, and after the LLM, candidates can seek admission in the PhD.
