AILET 2026 General Instructions
1. Candidates shall report at the assigned Test Centre at least 1 (one) hour before the commencement of the Test.
2. No candidate shall be permitted to enter the Test Centre 15 minutes after the commencement of the Test, i.e. 2:15 P.M.
3. No candidate shall leave the Examination Hall till the completion of the Test and the collection of all the OMR Response Sheets by the Invigilator.
4. Candidates are allowed to carry only the following items to the Examination Hall / Room:
- Admit Card
- Blue / Black Ball Point Pen
- Any valid Photo ID. Proof and Photograph
- Transparent Water Bottle
5. In case the photograph of the candidate is improper/not visible on the Admit Card, the candidate should bring a photograph and a valid photo identity proof in the Examination Centre along with the AILET-2025 Admit Card.
6. Communication/Electronic Devices such as Digital Watch, Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphone, Pager, Health Band, EarBuds and Calculator etc. are strictly prohibited in the Examination Hall.
7. The use of any unfair means by any candidate shall result in the cancellation of his/her candidature.
8. Impersonation is an offence, and the candidate, apart from disqualification, will be liable to be prosecuted.
AILET Exam Instructions- Bell Timings
NLU Delhi will hold AILET 2026 in offline mode from 2 PM to 4 PM; nevertheless, you must arrive at your designated test centre at least 1.5 hours before the exam begins. Take a look at the exam scheduling information provided below.

AILET Examination Dress Code
As the exam is held at the national level, the precautions and measures are taken just like other exams. If you are taking the NLU Delhi Law admission exam, you must dress appropriately on the day of the exam.
- You should only wear light clothing to avoid the possibility of concealing any cheating material.
- You must wear a sleeved shirt or T-shirt without large buttons or insignia.
- You should wear just slippers or sandals and avoid shoes that are not authorised in the exam hall.
- Rings, nose pins, chains, badges, and other items should not be carried by female students in the exam hall.
Definition of Unfair Means in AILET Examination
Candidates found to be using unfair means, such as cheating, disturbing other candidates, or engaging in other illegal acts, shall be disqualified. As a result, it is recommended that applicants refrain from engaging in such activities and instead follow the directions provided by the exam invigilators.
AILET Exam Instructions- Items to Carry
The following items are permitted to be brought inside the examination venue.
- Blue/Black Ballpoint Pen
- Any valid photo ID. Proof and their photocopies
- Bring a transparent water bottle,
- Your AILET admit card and at least two photocopies of it.
- Valid photo ID Card (original and photocopies)
- An analogue watch (permission varies by centre).

- Any metallic item
- Electronic gadgets such as cellphones, Bluetooth, headphones, headsets, cameras, pagers, microphones, health bands, and so on

- Stationery Items include textual material, a pencil box, a calculator, geometry, a pen/pencil, fragments of paper, and an electronic pen.

AILET OMR Filling Guidelines
The exam will be held in a pen-and-paper mode, where students need to mark their answers in an OMR sheet with the help of the AILET 2026 question papers.
- The candidate shall not open the plastic-sealed envelope containing the Question Booklet and OMR Response Sheet before 2:00 PM.
- Use only a Blue / Black Ball Point Pen for writing the Roll No—details on the OMR Response Sheet and for shading the circles. The candidates are required to put his/her signature and fill all the details, such as Roll number, question paper booklet number, on the space provided on the OMR Response Sheet.
- The questions Test Paper is of 150 marks containing 150 Multiple-Choice Questions, which will be in English.
- The candidate is required to select the most appropriate answer to each question. The answer circle should be entirely shaded without leaving any space. Incomplete circles will not be evaluated.
- Indicate only one answer by shading from the options provided. More than one response to a question shall be counted 'wrong'.
- As per the AILET Entrance Test pattern, every correct answer will be given 1 mark, and for every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
- The candidate must handle the OMR Response Sheet with care and must not fold, wrinkle, tear or staple it.
- The OMR Response Sheet is carbonised. The candidates shall return the original OMR Response Sheet to the Invigilator after the examination is over, and take away the carbonised copy of the OMR Response Sheet and the used Question Booklet only.
