CLAT Exam Date 2026: The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has announced the CLAT 2026 Exam Date in the Notification. The exam is going to be conducted on December 7, 2025. The Consortium has also updated the CLAT exam pattern two years ago. According to the latest paper pattern, the CLAT Exam Question Paper will include 120 questions, and students need to complete these in 2 hours. CLAT registration will be closed on November 11, 2025. CLAT Exam Date 2026 

The CLAT Exam Date 2026 has all set and released by CNLUs. Students must carry their CLAT Hall Tickets and valid photo IDs. The exam has 5 sections: English Language, Current Affairs (including GK), Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques. India’s top 26 NLUs and private affiliated universities/colleges accept the CLAT 2026 scores for LLB and LLM admissions.

The online application process for CLAT 2026 officially closed on November 7, 2025. After this date, no new applications were accepted, and the system was locked for further submissions. Applicants who registered before the deadline had a brief window to make corrections or updates to their application until November 9, 2025.

CLAT Exam Timings 2026

The CLAT 2026 exam will be held on Sunday, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. for the Regular candidates or General category. Eligible candidates in the PWD (Persons with Disabilities) category will have a longer time slot, from 2:00 to 4:40 p.m. They will get an extra 40 minutes. The exam will take place offline, using pen and paper.

CLAT Registration 2026

Aspirants interested in taking the CLAT Exam should be aware that the CLAT application form deadline has ended on November 7, 2025. However, once the application process is completed, the form correction window will remain open for candidates. Candidates must review the eligibility requirements before completing the form. 

The CLAT Registration 2026 process consists of online registration, document uploading, filling up, and application fee payment.

CLAT Application Form Fees

Candidates can pay the application cost online using a debit card, credit card, or net banking. Application fees are paid online.

• General/OBC/PwD/NRI/PIO/OCI: INR 4,000.
• SC/ST/BPL - INR 3,500.
• Online: Available payment methods include net banking, credit cards, and debit cards.

CLAT 2026 Answer Key Release Date

The Consortium of NLUs plans to distribute the CLAT 2026 answer key a day after the exam.  The CLAT answer key 2026 will be available on the official website, consortium.ofnlus.ac.in. The Consortium will issue the CLAT tentative answer key.  Candidates would then be allowed to raise objections to the answer key.  After reviewing all objections, a revised CLAT 2026 answer key will be issued, and the results will be declared.

CLAT 2026 Result Date

 The results of CLAT 2026 will be announced on the Consortium's website.  Candidates will be able to view the results by logging into their CLAT accounts.  The Consortium will release both the CLAT UG and CLAT PG results at the same time.

CLAT 2026 Counseling Dates

The Consortium of National Law Universities will announce CLAT 2026 counseling dates and schedules on their website once the CLAT results are announced. Only applicants who meet the cutoff for each round will be eligible to participate in the CLAT counselling process.

Candidates with a valid CLAT score can register for CLAT counselling using their login. Such candidates must pay the counselling fees and attach the necessary papers. The CLAT counselling procedure will be divided into five rounds. 

Important Instructions for CLAT 2026 Candidates

Bring Admit Card & ID – No entry without them.

Reach on Time – Regular: 1:30 PM, PWD: come early.

Only Allowed Items – Pens and an admit card—no phones, watches, or notes.

During the Exam, use the pen and do rough work in the given space. Time: 2 hours (Regular), 2h 40m (PWD).

Follow Rules – No cheating, listen to the invigilators.

After Exam – Follow instructions and don’t discuss answers outside.
