The NIMCET 2026 (NIT MCA Common Entrance Test) is an entrance exam for admission in Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programs at India’s leading National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and IIITs. For the academic year 2026-27, 13 premier institutes, including 11 NITs and 2 IIITs, will admit students to their MCA programs purely based on their NIMCET 2026 ranking.

This MCA entrance exam is only for students who want to follow a two- or three-year professional postgraduate study in computer applications. The admission exam is administered online computer-based test to evaluates student’s ability in Mathematics, Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness, and English.

NIMCET 2026 Exam Date

NIMCET 2026, a national-level entrance test, will be held on June 6th, 2026. These NIMCET participating institutes include: NITs such as Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Delhi, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Meghalaya, Patna, Raipur, Tiruchirappalli, and Warangal, whereas IIITs are in Bhopal and Vadodara.

NIMCET 2026 Registration Last Date

The Last date for online  NIMCET 2026 Registartion date is May 1st, 2026. NIT Tiruchirappalli released the NIMCET application form on March 3rd. The registration link for NIMCET has been launched on the official website, nimcet.admissions.nic.in. Candidates should review the NIMCET eligibility criteria before applying. NIMCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
