CUET UG 2026 Registration Massively Increased, Total Registration

The CUET UG 2026 Registration Last Date is over. The National Testing Agency is currently accepting online applications for the CUET UG 2026 via its official website. Those who have submitted their CUET application form will only get CUET Admit Cards.

Latest Update – CUET UG 2026 now has a new registration record. The biggest number of applications have been received thus far. In 2026, 14,92,764 students have enrolled. English is predicted to be the most competitive, due to the large amount of applicants.

Only five states accounted for 55 percent of all applications: Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan. This year, students were provided all of the necessary information before registering and were also helped through the registration process, resulting in 1.38 lakh more applications than the previous year.

CUET UG 2026 Registration Increased

The process for the CUET UG 2026 Registration is completely held in online mode. The online registration process commenced on 03 January 2026. Candidates who wish to take the Common University Entrance Test can apply for the same on the NTA CUET official website at cuet.nta.nic.in.

A total of 14,92,764 students have registered for the CUET in 2026, compared to 13,54,699 students in 2025. The CUET exam will be held between May 11 and May 31.

CUET 2026 Registration Dates

The National Testing Agency will be conducting the CUET  UG 2026 between 11 and 31 May 2026 in computer-based test mode at different centres located in various cities throughout the country, and 15 cities outside India. Upon closure of the CUET UG 2026 Registration window, the NTA will start the online form correction process, in which students will be able to make corrections in certain fields.

Who is eligible for CUET 2026 for UG?

The National Testing Agency (NTA) determines the eligibility requirements for students who seek to take the CUET UG 2026 exam. Candidates must meet these fundamental requirements before registering and taking the test. However, passing the CUET eligibility criteria does not ensure admission because each university may have its own course-specific requirements. • Educational requirements: Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board, with at least 45% marks.
• Age: There is no age limit.
• Nationality: Applicants must be Indian, but NRI and OCI candidates are also eligible.

How do I register for CUET UG 2026?

To apply for the CUET exam, first register by providing basic information such as your name, address, and contact information. This produces login information. After registering with their registration information, candidates can complete the CUET 2026 application form with personal and academic information, program and exam city preferences, and submit documents. • Visit the official website of the National Testing Agency at cuet.nta.nic.in.
• Now, create login details by clicking ‘New Registration’.
• Check the guidelines to fill out the online CUET application form.
• On the following registration form, enter personal and address details in the specified fields.
• The system-generated application number will be sent to your registered email and phone number. Create a password for future logins.
• Fill out the CUET application form 2026 and upload all the prescribed document in the proper format.
• Enter the OTP issued to your registered email ID and submit the form.
• Now pay the CUET exam form fee as per the number of subjects selected via the available payment gateways.

CUET 2026 Application Fee

To submit the CUET Application form successfully, you must submit the form fee by the last date, i.e., January 30, 2026. According to the information brochure, the CUET form fee for the three subjects for gneral category is ₹1000, whereas 900 for the OBC-NCL / EWS students.

CUET Correction Window 2026

The CUET UG  correction window 2026 will open on February 2. Candidates have till February 4th to update the information in their application form. Only registered candidates will be allowed to edit the application form once it has been submitted. During the CUET 2026 correction window, registered candidates can modify the following fields:

• Parent’s or guardian’s name,
• Class 10th and 12th Details
• Date of Birth
• Gender & Category
• Photograph Signature
• Examination city (depending on current or permanent address)

The Common University Entrance Test is a national-level entrance exam administered by NTA to candidates seeking admission to undergraduate programs at CUET Central Universities and other participating institutions in India.
