NEET 2026 Exam Date

Every year, the National Testing Agency conducts the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) on the first Sunday of May. This way, the NEET UG 2026 exam date is expected to take place on May 3rd, 2026 (Sunday).

NEET UG 2026 Application Process

The NEET application form 2026 will be available online on the NTA portal tentatively in the first week of February 2026, and the registration window will be open for at least one month to reduce student anxiety and stress. The NEET 2026 Application procedure consists of the following stages:

Step 1: NEET 2026 Registration

Doing the NEET Registration 2026 at the NTA  official website is the first stage of this application process. Here is the step-by-step of the NEET Registration

  • Visit the official website of the National Testing Agency
  • Click the "Registration for NEET(UG)-2026 is LIVE!" link near the top of the page. It will navigate you to a new page.
  • On the new page, click "NEET(UG)-2026 Registration and Online Application". You will be routed to the registration and application form homepage.
  • On that page, select the "New Registration" button. Tick the declaration box, then click the "click here to proceed" button.
  • You'll get to the registration form page and Fill out your information, including your name, date of birth, and contact information.
  • After inputting your contact information, an OTP will be delivered to your mobile number and email address. Enter the OTP and click the Submit button.
  • Upon successful registration, you will be granted a unique registration ID and password.
  • Use your registration ID and password to access the NEET Online form and save the details for future reference.

Step 2: Filling out NEET 2026 application form

Following completion of the NEET registration process 2026, candidates must submit the NEET application form by following the guidelines provided below.

Step 1: Go to the official website of the NEET UG 2026 test and click the "Login" button.
Step 3: On the new page, enter the login information that you received after completing the registration procedure and click the Login button.
Step 4: Fill out all of the essential information on the NEET Exam form, such as your personal and academic information. You must be cautious when filling out the online form. Make sure to cross-check every detail you submitted.
Step 5: Upload relevant documents in the desired format (document specifications are given below)
Step 6: After giving all of the essential information and documents, you will be prompted to submit the form for the final time. Before making the final submission, carefully review the details.
Step 7: After submitting the NEET Online form, you will be routed to the application fee page.
Step 8: Pay the prescribed registration fees online based on your category to successfully submit your candidature.
Step 9: Save it to the device and take print out the document for future use.

NEET 2026 Exam Pattern

Before starting the preparation,  a good understanding of the NEET exam pattern is crucial. The exam is held in offline mode (OMR Based Mode) in a single shift throughout the country. There are 180 objective-type multiple-choice questions in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. According to the NEET UG Examination marking scheme, each question is worth four marks, with a one-point deduction for each incorrect response. Thus, the total marks for the NEET Exam is, 180x4 = 720.

NEET 2026 Syllabus by NTA

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has released the NEET UG 2026 syllabus for the forthcoming medical entrance test. According to the NMC NEET syllabus, the exam will continue to be based on the Class 11 and Class 12 curriculum, with a concentration on ideas covered in NCERT textbooks. NEET 2026 Admit Card

The NTA will provide the NEET UG 2026 Admit Card a few days before the examination date. likely in the first week of May 2026. Only registered candidates. Candidates can obtain the hall tickets from the official NTA website by providing their application number and date of birth.

You must take hardcopy of the same, save the softcopy, and keep the NEET Admit Card 2026 until the admission or counselling procedure is concluded. It is mandatory to bring the admit card to the examination centre. Candidates who do not have a valid admit card will be unable to take the exam. After downloading the document, students must carefully review all personal information and read the exam-day instructions.
