How Many Domain Subjects are Compulsory in the CUET 2026 Exam? There is no fixed number of domain subjects available. The number of domain subjects typically depends on the CUET Participating university you are choosing. A student should choose their domain subject according to their desired course and CUET subject mapping. The CUET exam has 3 sections in the exam; this domain subject (section 2) will have non-optional questions, which means applicants must attempt all 50 questions. How Many Domain Subjects are Compulsory in CUET 2026 Exam?

Candidates can choose subjects from 13 languages, 23 domains, and the General test, which match their class 12th subjects. Candidates can choose up to five CUET subjects based on their preferred UG course and college requirements. Candidates can specify their topic preference when completing the CUET 2026 online form.  CUET accepted universities provide the CUET subject mapping criteria for all UG courses alongside the official CUET notification.

The NTA will launch CUET application 2026 in the first week of March at cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates applying for UG courses must review the CUET eligibility criteria 2026 for the desired course.
