How is the Admission Process of BHU different from DU
DU and BHU both offer admission in undergraduate and postgraduate programs through the CUET exam, but the admission process is quite different. The DU admission process is preference-driven and college-based, but the BHU admission process is totally based on merit and the course. Registration on the NTA website and the exam are similar for all universities, but the process has changed from the counseling steps.
- BHU conducts its own centralized counselling through the university portal, and DU demands registration on the CSAS portal for the counselling process.
- Students can choose the course, and admission is based on the merit list, but in DU, students can choose the course and college together, and admission is based on the preference list.
- Allotment of seats in BHU depends on the CUET score and seat availability, but in DU, seats are allotted based on the CUET score, preference list, and category cutoff.
- BHU has a single university with faculties and institutes, and DU covers almost 60+ colleges; students can choose the college through their interests.
- Document verification is mostly done faculty-wise in the BHU, but DU verifies the documents on a college-wise.
BHU UG Admission Eligibility
Every university sets the minimum eligibility criteria for admission; BHU also sets the minimum eligibility criteria. - Candidates have passed the 12th class or an equivalent exam with a minimum of 60% marks. For general candidates. The reserve category must have passed the 12th class.
